I 3 incorrect screen shot references. If you are going to use this Guide, I suggest you have QuickBooks open concurrently to insure you catch the author's mistakes, There are better guides available.
I bought this, thinking I would need it for the quickbooks program. It's a huge book that is very detailed. I just cracked it open when I got it, but that was it. I was able to get with our accountant, and he was able to let me know what I needed to do on coding items and what to use and not to use in the program. The accountants information was more helpful than this book. It would have took me weeks to make heads or tails of the program with this book, because I'm not an accountant, only a part-time bookkeeper for my husband's business. If your only a part-timer, I'd seek professional human assistance, because most of computer work is learning by doing, rather than reading and working the program.
This sure looks a lot like the 500 page book that you can download for FREE when you have the QuickBooks software up and running on your computer.It has been helpful.
Anyone who is working in Quickbooks should buy this book. I found so many questions answered by having this. I use it often, it can be a great help because of the pictures they show compare to the quickbook search button.
If you are anywhere from an expert to a do it yourselfer learning Quickbooks, I certainly would do my best to talk you into purchasing this book. It covers each area within the software and it is certainly an easy read. It explains as you go and these days it is nice to actually understand what one is doing without needing a specialist right next to you who charges an arm and a leg. Buy this Book!!!!
The book (guide) is more informative and easier to understand then the 'help' section of the QB program. Pretty much any issue was resolvable with the guide.
I saw this in the bookstore and decided to spend 20 minutes with it. In particular I wanted to see how payroll and in particular manual payroll would work and much like the actual software, it was nowhere to be found. She kept mentioning the DIY payroll subscription. My advice if you have to use this dreadful program is to get a third party guide.
I Have Never Been Good With Computers, OR Software, But This Book Has Been Extremely Helpful In My Dealings With The QuickBooks Software. Highly Recommended For Anyone That Uses QuickBooks.
