QuickBooks® 2014: A Complete Course is intended for use in a one-term course in microcomputer accounting. No prior knowledge of or experience with computers, Windows, or QuickBooks is required; however, an understanding of accounting is essential to successful completion of the coursework. Designed to present accounting concepts and their relationship to QuickBooks 2014, this text uses fictitious companies to provide hands-on training while it introduces major accounting concepts.   QuickBooks 2014: A Complete Course is a comprehensive instructional learning resource. The text provides training using the QuickBooks® Premier Accountant 2014 accounting program. While the text was written using the 2014 Accountant's version of QuickBooks Premier, it may be used with the Pro version of the program as well. (Because of the many differences between the Windows and Mac versions of QuickBooks, this text should not be used for training using QuickBooks for the Mac.) Provide a Real-World Experience with Extensive Hands-On Material: This text provides students with ample opportunity to apply the concepts presented in the text and software Explore the Many Features of QuickBooks using an Innovative Approach: With thorough exploration of the program in the text, students should be able to transition from training to using QuickBooks 2014 in an actual business.   Keep your Course Current: This edition reflects the latest version of QuickBooks along with several changes, enhancements, and new features.

This book was very expensive and is full of typos. Very unprofessional writing Janet Horne. Some of the instructions don't even make sense. You just have to ignore the stuff that makes no sense. Some of the things are just plain WRONG. Like reprinting a payment receipt after recording a NSF check. Makes no sense because the payment receipt prints out exactly the same before and after recording the NSF check, so what is the point? Those are just a couple of the many reasons I feel this book is a total rip off. The paper is cheap and flimsy and the print is also extremely low quality. If you try to erase a pencil marking off of a page and lightly erase over part of the text it erases right off the page. This should not happen in a "textbook" that costs $170.00 + tax. To make matters worse the price has gone down 20 dollars since I bought it 2 months ago. And to add insult to injury, the writing seems to be geared toward a very low level of ability. Without a doubt the worst college "textbook" I have ever had the unfortunate experience of having to use for a class.

In an effort to to save money I bought this Quickbooks textbook used. However, it comes with a trial version CD of the software so you can do the assignments. Although the CD was included, the trial had already been used. Has already been registered and cannot be re-registered. The only resolution was to buy a new book. Also, all of the end-of-chapter questions had the answers written in by the previous owner. So while I saved considerable $$, the challenges it posed were greater!

My copy of this book had a printing error. Roughly 30 pages of content were missing, and in its place were duplicate pages from a previous chapter. I'm a student in a Quickbooks course and I'm stressing out a little right now.Otherwise this is a very thorough text that guides you step-by-step through transactions. It is very simple to understand so far.Check your books, everyone!

It is a school text book ..... I learned a lot from it. It actually explain how to use the quick book program very well.

Missing pages terrible feeling. I wasn't able to finish the chapter on time.

Excellent textbook, easy to follow step by step, good for self-teaching...

Hi there,Could you please let me know about quickbook 14th and 15th, are there any difference between those books. Because my class's gonna meet in the beginning of June, I would prefer to use quickbook 14th texbook, but my class require 15th edition. I have cd for quicbook 15th already. Just want to know a textbook. This textbook is so so expensive for students....Thanks!

I used it for my QuickBooks class and I was able to finish the class early just because of how simply written the book is. It is a very STEP-BY-STEP text, which allows for very little error.
