I have been preparing for the GCIH exam and this book definitely gave me the bottom line up front of what I needed. The book is not too long and everything is to the point, without a lot of extra details that would confuse you. If you want the facts about what you need for the exam, then this book is it!
The information is useful and gives you a good idea some of the stuff to include in your index, but it's not a comprehensive book by any means.Also, the index in the back of the book is completely useless. None of the pages match the subjects.2/5 stars for the bad index. Would have been 3/5 otherwise.
This is not a study guide but rather an outline on what you need to study. If you look at it in those terms, it does a good job.
I made the mistake of not looking at the dimensions of the book before purchasing and was expecting the book to be much larger than it is. That's not the fault of the seller; the item was clearly labeled, I just hadn't paid attention to that detail when ordering. Despite the small size, there still seems to be a lot of great information in this book so I am happy with the purchase. This guide covers a wide range of detailed topics, but does so in an easy to read format. I love that it is written in a way that even someone new to the IT field could make sense of the material. From what I've read so far, I think it will be very helpful in preparing for the GCIH exam.
