How in the world could so many people have read this book and no one corrected Callie Smith Grant's misconception that land animals were created on the fifth day. Fish and birds were created on the fifth day, land animals on the sixth.If you are the type of person, which I am, that can walk across a room filled with babies to get to the puppies or the kittens, if you judge a movie on the merit of the dog being saved, if you wish to win the lottery so you can establish a "no kill" shelter then you will enjoy this book.Just someone please correct that fifth day problem.
I just loved this book. A couple of the stories left me with questions, but I have bought copies to give as Christmas presents for friends who love dogs.

Some really cute stories. All of them about dogs. Most pet owners could add stories and we know that all pets are unique. These stories bring back many memories of pets now gone to animal heaven.
This is a collection of dog stories. Some are funny. Others will break your heart and still others are inspiring. Anyone who loves dogs will love this book.
I got this for my granddaughter in 6th grade who likes to read animal stories. She liked it!
