Excellent book, but I was disappointed that the paperback version I bought had black and white pictures. Black and white pictures hardly due justice to the beauty of Dick Jaynes' cultivars of mountain laurel.
Book gives you information about the kalmia species. Book has good color pictures. Tells you how to start mountain laurel from cuttings. All the knowledge you need for the state flower of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
I found the book to be authoratative and most helpful to me as a gardener and also in my efforts to use this plant as a subject for bonsai. The suggestions contained in this book should help me keep this plant alive as a container plant. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Kalmia.
