I wished I had read this book last year when my identity was semi stolen. I learned on Oct 15, 2012 that someone had already filed income tax on my Social Security #(I always file late)To add more stress to me, in Dec while at a gas station another person stole my debit card and pin number! Almost $1000 but luckily I was going out of town that same day and stopped it.If I had read Mr. Siciliano's book prior, maybe could have avoided the debit card theft.Saw him on Cooper Anderson talk show and I knew I had to buy this book. Gives you sound advise how to avoid ID problems and how to protect your kids ID. They are the ones who are most vulnerable being so young with a clean credit slate! It's a fast and easy book to read and worth buying to protect yourself and family.
I had no idea how many mistakes I've been making! My cousin's identity was stolen but now that I've read this book mine will never be!
Great information and tips on how to keep your private information safe. Large print..easy read. A great guide explaining how to protect yourself from identity theft and computer fraud.
My first impression was " hey I all ready know most of this stuff" however after digging deeper into to the book I learned many new things. Some of the suggestions were so simple- I started scratching my head saying why didn`t I think of that. Now I know why -I am not a Indentity theft expert. The book provided some great tips that I use to this day.
Great information in a little package. We implemented many tips immediately. The book was clear, precise, had great practical examples, and resolved many identity theft fears that we were unnecessarily concerned about.
An invaluable survival guide that belongs in every backpack, briefcase and travel bag. This meat and potatoes approach gets you up to speed on the who/what/how of identity theft quickly, while not ignoring the preventive measures anyone can implement. Whether you're a high school/college student, young professional, middle aged fantasy football fan, or a senior citizen skyping the grandkids - 99 TYWYK gets the job done. Thanks to Robert Siciilano and this book, there's no need to register for a network security course to avoid identity theft. Read this and stay alert!
