This book has great information on growing succulents. It has sections on watering, soil, light, dormancy, containers, pests, etc. It's written in an easy-to-read conversation style. The pictures in this book are FANTASTIC!!!
I've grown/propagated jade plants indoors with much success and was pleased to find this primer on growing other succulents indoors. It inspired me to install a succulent-friendly south-facing garden window in the dining room. (We have only a small kitchen window that faces south.) Now, I just have to save up for it!
This book is a must-have for anyone who wants to grow succulents indoors. The photography is amazing and the tutorials are clear and easy to follow. Since I live in an area where winters are harsh, I had been looking for a book to teach how to care for succulents indoors. It is nice to finally find a succulent book that recognizes that we don't all live in California :)
I'm not the type to leave lackluster reviews, but this book cost $9, and definitely wasn't worth it. The entire book took me about 30 minutes to get through. There's no pictures for species discussed, and very few were discussed at all. I was hoping for specific information on keeping plants indoors besides the general information that's provided in my other succulent books. The major difference between those books is that they provide a lot of photos and specific guidelines for those plants. Overall, total disappointment.
Growing Succulents Indoors was my first and favorite resource for learning about and caring for succulents. I immediately fell in love with the photography, it's beautiful while clearly illustrating the instruction. The copy was also very easy to follow, the tone is casual and informative.I have referred to this book many times since I purchased it several months ago. It has helped me plant my own beautiful succulent arrangements with ease and confidence. Without a doubt, Propagating Succulents is next on my list of purchases!
I found this guide to growing succulents indoors to be very helpful. I really appreciate the list of 5 succulents that grow well indoors. The choice of succulents can be overwhelming so this list gives a beginner like me a good starting point. The tips on watering, soil, sunlight, containers, pests and other problems are also valuable. The beautiful photography and useful information make this a book I will refer to whenever I need help growing succulents indoors.

Great book. I do feel that you could get most of the information from posts on her website and for the price i honestly expected it to be a lot longer and have more trouble shooting sections like pest control etc
