An excellent read and truly exciting story about dogs and those they Love and will do anything for. We have and have had several who have given us multiple examples of the unconditional Love which is one of the primary traits of these wonderful friends.
The stories in this book are great, I was sorry when this book was over. I wanted to keep reading more. Dogs are just the best, a loyal friend, a protector, a constant companion, a loving shadow. I lost my little Miss Abby five years ago. It broke my heart. Some things in this book reminded me of the words I wrote in my own writing in trying to come to grips with my intense grief after she died. Every story in here is about an amazing dog. They are indeed man's best friend.
Well written stories about man`s best friend``s ability to defend, protect, save and love those who love them. Heartwarming and reminding of how unique and special the bonds are between us. If you have ever loved a dog this book is certainly for you, or any dog-lover you know.
After reading stories of devotion and courage in DOGS: A Kid's Book of DOG BREEDS (a great book, I highly recommend it), our family wanted more stories and found this wonderful book, "Dog Love - An Unbreakable Bond." I was truly moved by the loving devotion, loyalty and courage of "man's best friend." They give us unconditional love; what a wonderful gift they are to Humankind. I agree with those who pointed out the numerous mis-spellings throughout the book, and I hope they correct those in future editions,but those only lent a folksy aspect that did not detract from the overall message.
Such an inspiring book of dog experiencing. My husband and me have a lot of great stories happy and sad but every dog has had their own lovable companions to us.we will always have at least one forever.
No obstacle seems too big, nor hurdle too tall for the humble dog that devotes his all to his master. Even the smallest pup will fiercely protect his human family. And the largest (and scariest) breeds prove to be the gentlest of nursery maids.
This book's stories only serve to confirm in the title of this review. If a dog gives you his heart, there is no greater friend to have. Only a dog would prefer his master's company sleeping in the out of doors to a comfortable bed. Only a Dog would risk his life without thinking of the consequences if his master is in trouble. Only a dog, whose name spelled backwards spells God.
