Gave this to a bride at her wedding shower (and it's counterpart - "Do You Know Your Bride?") and everyone liked it, trying to answer all the questions themselves. Are they really deep, thought-provoking questions? No, but it is just a fun thing to do together. It's not meant to be marriage counseling, people.
My husband and I purchased these ( both Do you know your groom & Do you know your bride) shortly after getting married. They were entertaining and left us feeling informed and good that we knew so much about each other. We giggled a lot...well my husband chortled and I giggled :). Since then we have purchase several sets of these for couples as wedding gifts. They are the perfect activity for that plane ride to a honeymoon destination.
I bought this and the Brides edition as well for when my husband and I went on our honeymoon. It was SUPER fun! We didn't complete too much of it at the time, but was fun on the plane and much more fun after some drinks. We did a few more questions on our 5 year anniversary (with some more adult drinks this time :) It was so much fun. We had been together for 15 years at that time (5 yr. ann) but still had much giggles. Bought it for my cousin as a side gift for her wedding just a short time ago- we'll see what she say's. I definitely suggest it !!!
My wife and I got this and the Bride version. Really did enjoy doing it together. I would HIGHLY suggest doing it together with each other's books. We went back and forth a couple of nights and laughed alot. Learned alot too! Enjoy it!
I've only had a chance to "play" the first 10 questions or so, but so far, this is great!!!Nice, relaxing, and a great way to spend a lazy Saturday afternoon....some of the questions made us laugh, some ask more questions, and some made us remember the 'old times'....love it!
My Boyfriend and I have been asking eachother questions out of the "do you know your bride" and "do you know your groom" books and we sit and laugh. It is a lot of fun, especially on a rainy night. Each question leads to more and more memories and stories to tell eachother.
Led to some interesting coversation between my fiance and I. Its a good way to start some pre-marriedal conversation. The book is set up so you can answer them in a worksheet format. Book publisher also has a bride version as well.
This is a great book for some genuine laughs and truth finding moments. Most questions are short answer or multiple choice. Coupled with "Do you know your bride" these books make a wonderful wedding gift.
