Mary Emmerling has always been one of my favorite authors. She has a dramatic, signature look that stands out in all of her books, and NEW COUNTRY COLLECTING continues to portray Country decorating at its' finest. After you look at all of the wonderful photographs and read about the collectors, you will race out the door to shop for new additions to your collections. I own all of her books, and eagerly look forward to new publications for my country bookshelf.
I bought this book in the 1990s. I still browse through it today, and this book does hold up.The chapters are easily categorized by styles. The photos are wonderful!If you're familiar with COUNTRY HOME MAGAZINE or Mary Emmerling's style, then you'll like the format of this book.
Another wonderful way Mary Emmerling has chosen to share some great ideas to help the novice or mature collector. Any book she writes is a good book!!
