Basic info that is just right for the absolute novice. It is presented plainly and the information can be used with almost any small engine. It is quick to get through. I followed the advice in the book and, though it didn't fix the biggest problem (dirt in the carburetor), it did help me eliminate the other alternatives. It was worth the price.
This is an excellent step-by-step guide for fixing the most common problems with power equipment. The fixes are easy and can be done by anyone. If you have never worked on a lawnmower or trimmer this report can definitely save you time and money (and a lot of frustration).
Yes you are correct you need air fuel and spark. This book mentions the basic only discusses air and fuel. Nothing about trouble with not getting a spark how to check for it anything of that nature. Not worth the time or energy require to even read the intro. Just plain sucks
The best book on maintenance I have ever read!Being an hour away from a repair shop this easy to read book saved me hours of wasted time and money.Used the steps suggested in the book and my mower started on on the first pull of the cord!!!Anyone who has lawn maintenance equipment should own this book. As a female I changed the gas, put in a new spark plug,cleaned the air filter. Simple steps.Kitty Ray Brown
This is rather a basic book. I think it would be good for someone just starting out with small engines. For a long timer, it is good for reminding someone about regular maintenance.
It was helpful, but didn't get into the more complex problems and procedures to fix them. It also had some grammar mistakes. Otherwise, it was a helpful book.
