We enjoy on many occasions a soup with bread, or soup and a sandwich. I have always liked hot soup with Italian bread, or hot buttered rolls. While I have a huge cookbook collection, I was lacking cookbooks just with soup recipes. This was the perfect choice. The recipes are simple, with good prep times, and most of the ingredients are common. In addition, the instructions are easy to read per recipe.Thus far, we made: The French Onion Soup With Cheese Toasted Bread; The Broccoli And Cheddar; The Baked Potato; and The Clam And Shrimp Chowder. Our selections so far were satisfying, filling, and very tasty. I will be making these selections again-and-again.Other recipes include: Ginger Chicken; Zucchini And Carrot; Broccoli Noodle; Egg Drop Chicken; Green Pea And Pasta With Crispy Bacon; Chicken And Dumpling; Lobster Creamy Chowder; Cheese And Chicken Chowder; and more. Many of the recipes are interesting, and several I've never tasted before. Therefore, this cookbook is challenging, and inspiring.The recipe for Minestrone Soup sounds divine, and that is the next selection on my list. My daughter's next pick is the Spicy Tomato And Sweet Potato. We will leave updates as we make new recipes. A delicious, hearty soup is good for any time. I will share these recipes with friends, and family. Fantastic cookbook for such a great price. Highly recommended!
The variety of soups is really great. You can find soups in there for lunches, dinners, and reason at all. We were out the other day and bought a set of over sized soup mugs. We love to make a big pot of soup and sit in the living room and watch a movie together. Soup is truly a comfort food and these are delicious.
A decent amount of vegetarian recipes in there for me, and very detailed instructions. None of the soups were earth-shattering or really unique, but they are very common soups you know and love.
My wife and I are now in our 80's and find that soup recipes are one of our most appreciated evening meals. Thank you Julie.
The recepies look amazing, but out of the 5 books I bought from Julie non of them have diagrams. Is it my settings that are off? I really like to see the final result.
For the money you can't go wrong. I have tried a few different recipes and was delighted at the results. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
