I had to get this book for my online Fire Protection class. I was able to rent the book for a much better price. The book was a lot of help. An easy read and helps understand to find answers that you need to do for homework. I can honestly say if not for this book, I would have failed the class. That is how much the book is. So if you need to get this book then get it from here! Especially if possible to get it for rent!

I enjoyed reading the text, they wrote it well. However, the Index and Glossary weren't great, and lots of things I tried to find were not there, and had to be found by page-flipping (aghh!). Not usually the case, in my experience. Also, waaayyy too many chapter review questions. Yikes.It was a decent overview of the fire service, though. I found it interesting.

As reported by student it was bought for:Bought for a class, but unlike some required texts, it was worth buying. Good information in an interesting way. Would recommend to those interested in the field of firefighting.

Overall dry material & very hard to follow & find reference material. Book was required for a course I was taking. I would not recommend this book unless you have too .
