Excellent book for any Floridian interested in understanding which plants are best for their property - and definitely suited for more experienced gardeners than the beginners. The photographs and growing tips including when to prune, fertilize, propagate, soil and light preferences are just some of the great things included on each plant.
This is a great starter book for new Florida homeowners . The pictures truly exemplify each shrub and plant. I appreciate the explanation of soil requirements for each plant. This is a good start to what I was looking for to begin my education on Florida garden care.
It explains in detail all about shrubs, flowers and palms, when to trim, plant, mix with other flowers or shrubs. I recommend it if you live in Florida.
I've been in Florida for 45 years and still need help with Florida flowers and shrubs. This book makes it simple to get the best for my area and yard and give me flowers all the time.
I suppose I should have expected it, but most of the annuals would be found in NE as well as FL, Probably pretty good as a very basic gardening book, but not if you were looking for something out of the nationalmagazine ordinary.
Purchased this for my wife as we just moved to Florida. She cannot wait to get back to having a garden like the one we left behind!
