Recently acquired a bench top band saw and thought it wise to read up on techniques, safety, and maintenance. This book fills the bill and provides good tips, general guidance and recommendations for useful jigs. If you're building up a woodworking library, also take a look at Lonnie Bird's "The Bandsaw Book" which can be found here on .By the way, there seems to be no agreement on whether the tool is called a band saw or a bandsaw.
This book describes & explains how to get the most out of your band saw. Mark Duginske give tips on adjustment even small ones that will help your band saw work better & the blades last longer. Well worth the read.
It gave me an insight into the blades available and their usage. Also, the section on proper adjustments was very helpful.
Great book. Covers everything you need to know. From small band saws to large, it's got answers for all ranges of skill levels. Highly recommended!
The book contains some original materials, such as those related to the jigs invented by the author. The book, however, is not complete. For example, it doesn't cover metal cutting band saws. The title "Complete Guide" is misleading. Some parts of the book seem to have different styles. Overall, I think the book is original but it is not an encyclopedic guide.
Decent book. Not much covered on ceramic guides. Author has interest in a certain brand of guides which he mentions. Good practicle info.
