This edition does NOT contain the same color plates that were in the 1922 edition published by Charles Scribner's Sons. If you are looking for those, you will have to find an old copy of the book. This edition claims that these pictures are better than the old ones, but in mu opinion, they are not
This book is a classic, with its appealing and loving descriptions of wild flowers. Perfect to take along on a spring time walk, even though it is not a now-traditional Peterson sort of guide. It gets to the heart of the flowers.
