Great book for newbies to have in their collection for technigues and experienced card makers to own for inspiration and ideas. The book begins with stamp technique and care. It then moves to a sixteen page section (Stamp It 3 ways) which suggests how to use particular products in multiple ways. Some may consider this section out of date since the particular branded products may no longer be easily available. This is short sighted however - for two reasons. First there is always Ebay as a source for new and used older items. Second and more importantly the ideas presented can easilly be broadly applied by thinking in terms of general shape (Circular Flower Stamps) or item type (buttons) instead of the specific named product. The bulk of the book offers fabulous ideas for every card giving opportunity - and not just one or two! You will find PAGES of examples for every occasion. For example, I like that in the Graduation section there are the usual YOU DID IT cards along with TO THE COLLEGE BOUND GRADUATE cards. Some deal with the accomplishment while others point aspirationally to the future with ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE NOW. Another handy feature of the book for newbies is the step by step section at the back. I really like is the. I thought the Finishing Touches and Pattern section at the very end fairly senseless but maybe they needed to fill a couple more pages for print purposes. Last comment I have relates to colors. I was a little worried about buying the book as to its front cover because I thought the colors looked a bit 1970s. Not humoungously so but just a tad for me; probably because I am not an orange person. Once the book arrived I see this is not a concern in the least. The colors used on cards throughout the book are very timely.
