Finally, a good RFIC design book. I have read quite a few and this truly is the best one. The book starts off with discussions about basic RF design (NF, linearity etc) and then talks about each block in the transmitter and receiver chains as a separate chapter. Good in-depth discussion about a lot of circuits. May not be a great book for a class (not that detailed in theory) but a great book for practical design.
If you look into this book carefully and solve every problems, you will find several wrong descriptions. For example, the answer for SFDR calculation example includes a rudimentary mistake. Yes, you should not always believe in everything written in a textbook as Dr. Egan mentioned. But it is really waste of time to read an untrustworthy textbook. I hope all would be corrected in next edition.Descriptions about PLL, AGC, demodulator, ADC, and DAC are missed in this book.
