This book is a good first hamster owner guide, but I had a few problems with it. First, it has nothing whatsoever to do with making your hamster live for seven years or more. This book has some really good essential material, but nothing about raising particularly long-lived hamsters. As a hamster's average lifespan is 2 to 3 years, this claim is quite extraordinary. Next, it does not adequately cover, in my opinion, the proper requirements your hamster's food should have--i.e.how much total protein, fat, etc. Third, it states that when hamsters contract wet tail, the owner simply has to buy a medication from a pet store to treat it. Wet tail is a potentially fatal condition and needs immediate attention from a veterinarian. And lastly, and I'm not sure if this is just an error of the Kindle translation, the book has many improper phrases and spelling.Now don't get me wrong--this book is a good beginner's guide. Just don't use it as your main reference source.
This book is helpful only if you know absolutely nothing about keeping pet hamsters. It was definitely translated or written originally by someone whose first language is definitely not english.Its extremely repetitive, and a bit out dated (?).This book is a compiled list or 'best recommendations'. It jumps from one thing to the nextwithout smooth transitions.Also, Never once, is anything mentioned about how to get your pet hamster to live longer. Its also short and not thorough in its topics at all. Im glad I didnt get a physical copy of this. Hope it helps.
Seemed as though it was poorly translated from another language. The writer obviously had a less than perfect grasp of English. Definitely can not recommend.
The book provides a basic set of information that is offered for free in many other places on the internet. The typos and poor editing make some parts hard to read. No mention is made in the book to getting a hamster to live seven years, just reiterations that the average lifespan for most is 2 years.
This book is only helpful if you know absolutely NOTHING about hamsters and want to only skim the surface of knowledge on the subject. There is also NOTHING in this book that tells you how give your pet extended life as it boasts on the cover.
Very good book especially what they can eat. I would recommend this for beginners.hopefully my little guy will live a healthy life.
Several typos in the book and missing punctuation so you have to try to decipher what the author is saying.
