I purchased this book to guide me in gardening at our coastal Northern California home. I'm very disappointed. The information is generic and I can't find specific gardening for coastal climate. The information includes suggestions that are clearly not specific for coastal climate, like fruit trees... which will not grow in the foggy summer conditions, and marmots. Marmots? Really? They aren't located on the west coast at all. What a waste of my money.

I looked for a book for my mom this Christmas on Northwest Gardening. The description of this book looked intriguing enough to not only be useful for a gardener here in the NW but I knew she'd enjoy the pictures. Not much of a review as I haven't seen it yet, but my mom called me and says she's really enjoying it and thats good enough for me to give this book a thumbs up
