The book is useful, however I did have higher expectations. It provides a few interesting ideas and opinions but it mostly rehashes a lot of information and ideas we already have access to in the fire service. If you are just starting a public education division or are new to this aspect of the fire service it would be helpful. If you are looking to improve an existing well established program you might want to look elsewhere. That being said, if your public education division consists of a committee this book would be a useful tool for new members.
An excellent book dealing about a subject needed for every fire department. There are very few books written close to fire safety education. Tom Kiurski explains how to implement fire safety education in your fire department. He also gives many suggestions that fire departments can use. He also makes it FUN!!!! Excellent book I would recommend to any firefighter.
