I purchased this a while ago and couldn't put it down. It is beautifully written and I could easily picture the landscape and the surroundings as the author described it. I would recommend this book to anyone who believes that the earth has healing powers not only because of what it provides us in the form of food but also digging down there in the dirt is very therapeutic. Can't wait to walk barefoot again soon!
This book is both romantic and inspiring. I loved entering into Caroline's story of healing, love and transformation.
Wonderful book! Opens us up to other realities we often ignore. Even though it was written over a century ago it has great insight into our hectic world. Reminds me of "Out of the Woods: How I Found My Muse at Walden Pond" by Thoreau.
Read it before and love it again the second time.
