We moved into the suburbs of Boston from the city and had a yard for the first time when we go this book. We got a number of other gardening books over the two years that we've been in our house but this remains our most useful and most read one. It is specific to New England as opposed to more generic books. The plants it highlights are ones that do well in New England without a lot of work. The book is well organized. We especially love the month-by-month recommendations for each plant category. I would recommend this to any first-time gardeners as well as experienced ones in New England.
Marvelous book! Well written, good.directions,.pictures.and ideas for every season of planting in the northeast, highly recommend it!
