We found this at the local library and our one year old loves it! In fact, she and her 3 yo sister loved it so much, we decided we needed to buy a copy. It is a must-have for anyone with a young child in Hawaii -- or any family that is "local" at heart. The illustrations are adorable and the text is great. Our daughters can really relate to the baby's insatiable craving for noodles (and I can relate to the noodles being everywhere...) A wonderful book! Perfect for keiki.

I got this book for a granddaughter (along with the obligatory Maui onesie--little version of the grand parent t-shirt from a trip) who is almost 10 months and likes to sit in your lap and be read to and alternately chew the book so the fact this is a board book is perfect and one of the reasons I picked this. It is simple, has cute little faces and for whatever reason, she kisses one of the little girls in the book whose picture appears twice. It is such a hit, I have ordered a second one from to have at our house so that when she is here she has this particular book. It will be a good story, too, as she gets older and the words and rhyming mean more.UPDATE: the 10 month old is almost three and there is a one year old behind her. They still LOVE the "noodle book" which is how we refer to it. We have a messy spaghetti picture with "...noodles in her hair, noodles on the chair (the floor etc.)...Noodles EVRYWHERE!" This is going to be one of those books that the kids look back on later in life with great fondness! The one year old giggles and loves the noodles on her nose part! This book really works. Now that we LIVE in Hawaii, I try to send "islandy" books--they now call them "Hawaii Books" and even though the Noodle Book was not originally meant as a "Hawaii book" it is for them!

My baby didn't care much for this book at first, so it wasn't an instant winner. Over time, though, it grew on her and now it's a favorite. The illustrations are a bit different from the usual which I appreciate, and who doesn't love noodles?

I can't stop gushing over how beautiful the illustrations are in this book. I also love the different types of dishes represented for baby to eat. As an adventurous ethnic food fan, it drives me nuts to see "mac and cheese" as the only acceptable noodle for babies to eat. My little ones would beg to differ.Overall, you won't be disappointed by the cute rhyming story and the....yes, I'll say it again...great, eye catching artwork.

My two year old grandson loves this book with the noodles in the hair. The book is fun to read and laugh about together.
