This is an excellent reference book for the enthusiastic gardener - full of good advice of a practical nature, and has replaced the stack of clippings that we used to accumulate. We have purchased several of these as gifts for people in various states, and everyone seems to be pleased with them.
This is a wonderful. Not only does it give you info on every month of the year, but you also have planting tips, what to plant, when to plant & an overall review of every month in Indiana gardening. I had one of these books for Texas when we lived there and it was great.
This book has good info but is SO darn irritating to use. So it's April and I want to know what I should be thinking about with my gardening. I have to turn to 10 (TEN!!!) different places in this book to see that. For each different type of plant (bulbs, annuals, perennials, shrubs,etc) there is a different chapter. Doesn't it make WAY more sense to organize by the month so I don't have to spend lots of time stumbling around in the book and more time actually gardening. Very annoying. Think I'll go pull some weeds.
