This in one of the reference materials allowed in for the California PE, Seismic Exam. The text is very good and has several basic examples, however I did not receive the CD-ROM which was one of the improvements over the previous edition and was to be included ( see book's preface and last page , "How to use the CD-ROM") and some of the figures are fuzzy (scanned and then reproduced?).
This book is much cheaper at the ICBO website.
This book is not just for seismic design, I use it as a guide, and to learn how the experts in the field of Structural Engineering design buildings and other structures. What do they look for and how they solve complex structural analysis and design problems.To me the study of this handbook should be a requirement for all graduating structural engineers.

This is not a review but a request for clarification. I was told that this book was revised and updated to include recent changes required in building codes. The latest printing should be 2nd. edition of the 1996. Is this correct and what will be the change of cost. Can you please confirm. Thank you. Yours truly, Chris.
