I was torn between 3 and 4 stars. The first part of the book touches on all diets for dogs without going into any detail. The second half of the book is on dehydrated foods (the title should have told you that). For a book that is about dehydrated foods I was very disappointed with the chapter (1/2 page) on buying a dehydrator - I didn't find it any help what-so-ever, and this is an important factor if you plan on making your own dehydrated dog food. I did find lots of useful tips in the book, and it is a decent size (even factoring in the pages devoted to chapter titles-- not sure that was a good editing choice) and that's why I ended up giving it 4 stars (if I had 3.5 stars I would have went here instead)
