The paper is of good quality - somewhat glossy - but it's not truly square. So no matter how hard you try to line things up correctly, it's not going to be perfect. There are some neat patterns included and it also includes some instructions on making different origami figures but they were kind of hard to follow and I ended up looking online for easier instructions.
These little squares are lovely. Just the right weight and as a new beginner with origami really worked perfectly. You get fifteen sheets of each of six patterns here and they are pretty with simple patterns in blue, green and red
Disappointed. The feel of the paper is more like gift wrap, which is hard to work with and very annoying to the touch; it also means the corners and creases tear too easily when folding. The other major disappointment was that it was not cut perfectly square! How hard can that be to do when you're making origami paper? Not one piece in the packet was square--they are all slightly off by millimeters but when you fold it on the diagonal or in half or in any way, the corners and sides do not match up. I had to cut off edges to make it square so my cranes would turn out.
Gold away young grasshopper.... With this high quality paper. The real thing is truly worth every penny. It makes a big difference in both the finished projects AND perhaps more importantly the zen journey between where your emptiness begins and your fulfillment begins...
Paper does not feel like traditional origami paper. It is more like a thick wrapping paper feel. Also, the paper I received was not a perfect square.
