The good: this is a very clearly written overview of fiction writing, specifically for writing a novel. It will save beginning writers precious time of searching the internet for fundamentals of getting their novels started. It is also priced very reasonably.The bad: while reasonably priced, the information included is available for free for a moderate effort of searching the internet. Some of the sections are even copied word for word from various sources online. Additionally, the text is in dire need of editing. There are numerous syntax and grammar errors as well as more than a few typos.Without the typos and grammatical errors, I would certainly recommend this for any beginning novelist as there is enough useful information to jump start the writing process.

I just finished writing my first nonfiction book and it was refreshing to find a book that goes into detail about how I can make it better. After reading this, I'll be going back and using these tips to make the story more interesting. This was a great book for beginners like me who want to know more about how to get your creative ideas onto paper and publish a book. I'm excited to go back to my book and work on the second draft. I found this book helpful and I'll be referring back to it often. All in all, I know it won't be perfect, so I'll let my readers tell me how I can improve it so I can become a better writer an author.

This book is the perfect example of an accurate guide! This book has these top novel writing tips will help you avoid common mistakes. It will teach you how to write a novel with the best chance of success. Most authors are embarrassed of their first book but you will overcome it one way or another!
I am very disappointed in this book. While the tips were not bad, I am very upset that I paid almost $10 for a book with 48 pages, written in extra large font (it looks like one of those early reader children books) and a lot of white space on the page. If it were written in regular font and without the space consuming formatting, it would probably be around 25 pages. I have seen blog posts with more content and value than this book provides.
As said the writer, this book is the summary of all the information of his own researching on how to write. This saves me a lot of time compared to surfing around the internet myself. I love reading and have been wondering how the writers come up with all the ideas and details, how they creat such beautiful stories. I originally read this book out of that curiosity. I like how it is organized, the order of contents is very reasonable. 7 myths, or should I say, 7 common misunderstandings, will direct your view about writing to the right way. After that, it provides step by step instruction on how to develop a charater, the plot, the ending. This process takes months or even longer, and it needs practice, a lot of it. "The only thing that will make you a better writer is to actually write." Once you satisfy with your story, come back to this book, it even has detailed pros and cons of types of publishing for you to consider. An inspiring read of a devoted sharing!
I took creative writing in high school and the course had more depth than this book which seems to be written for children. I want my money back. Terrible. Can get this information on the internet for free.
