Not being a structural engineer, I can't rate the book on correctness of information. The book is not a cohesive manual or text, but rather a collection of articles from the Journal of Light Construction over the years. Who knows when some of these were written - the book was printed in 1999, so some obviously came well before that. There are 35-40 authors here. If you're a home builder looking for some random tidbits to improve your repertoire, this might be good. If you're trying to learn framing from scratch, this is not the place to start.
