The book covers alot of different roof types for the professional framer. Too complex for me. I'm only concerned with the basic gable roof and how to lay out the rafters on a framing square. Oh well. Would not recommend to the average handyman or carpenter.
The book is great for drawing plans. I used it to design a shed dormer and found it easy to draw up my own dimensions and present the drawing to the building department. The book is useful for anyone wanting to design a roof or rebuild a roof. It's obviously written by professionals who know their trade
