This recipe book is indeed a very great one for it was able to provide recipes that are not just delicious but healthy and easy prepare as well. I am actually a food enthusiast and I really do love trying new recipes and this one from Tina Cordain is definitely one of the best! A highly recommended recipe book!
Yummy! I got this book because my husband loves baklava and I wanted to try a Turkish theme for his birthday (desert and champagne party). I chose several of the recipes from Delicious Turkish Desert Recipes Made Easy. I made the Kunefe, a turkish pastry served with ice cream. It was so delicious@ Very much like Baklava but the hot and cold sensation was so delicious. One thing I really liked was the addition of mozzarella cheese to the sweet honey, cinnamon and sugar was an amazing culinary combination. To be honest I also liked that phyllo was shredded because I have had a hard time working with it in the past. LOVED this recipe.I also made baklava given my husband's love for it. Oh my Gosh. soooo good. I will say I got a little tangled up in the phyllo which I think was more me and unavoidable. Still I made it work. The other recipe I made was the Salep Dondurma. WHAT? chewable ice cream. Yes. and with its whipping cream, sugar, salep...oh boy.I loved the recipes so far and am excited to try the rest. I highly recommend this recipe book. In the age of finding recipes on line instead of using cookbooks, I found that this authentic collection was easy to make and came out delicious.
Gave this a Five star rating because I really enjoyed the pictures and descriptions of the dishes in this book. The recipes looked delicious and were well written and looked fairly easy to make. There are several I think I may try from the book. Would recommend this book for the adventurous of different cuisine.
Yes, Finally! I remember going to a Turkish restaurant and had some Lokma and remembered how good it tasted. I can now make it easily with this book and other Turkish desserts too. Its good to have an arsenal of delicious foods at your side and I'm glad I purchased this book.
This book is pact full of delicious recipes! Everything is well written and clearly explained. My family loves the desserts from this book and would highly recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth.
