This is a super exploration of the issues involved on what happens when a child with special needs enters the famly system and the long term and wide ranging implications of the impact. Very thorough and hugely insightful and although no doubt aimed at professionals if, as a parent you want to scratch 'under the surface' then this book will prove truly valuable. Excellent.

This was a required textbook I purchased for a course I am taking about families, diversity, and disability. It arrived relatively quickly and at a fair price! Thanks!

in okay condition (like mentioned) and shipping took a while.... in all it was okay!

I have been reading literature about how families are impacted by rare diseases for over six months now. I finally found this book and it pulls all of my thinking together and answers questions I've had without being too dense or inaccessible. I actually look forward to reading this book even though it's a 'research' book!
