As a beginner/novice woodworker I absolutely loved this book. I found it to be very useful from beginning to end. The tips for making the jigs was a big help for solving some minor problems I was having to make the cuts needed to finishing my project. I would certainly recommend this book to any beginner woodworker.
I'm a beginner when it comes to woodworking. I found this book to be full of ideas to make using a table saw safe and expedient with creating different types of jigs. Using this book has helped me create some wonderful pieces that I'm proud to say I made them with my own two hands and this book. Lol.
The title of this review is a little misleading in that I think the book is well written and illustrated. I was disappointed because I was hoping to find some better, more useful, instructions for setting up bevel cuts. Everything in this book was already in the manual that came with my table saw. I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't have an instruction manual or thinks their's is unclear but otherwise, spend your money on something else.
I don't have a table saw yet. Read this book to get additional information before buying one. There is good information to consider in this book.
The book paid for itself within the first few pages of tips. I would recommend to anyone with a table saw and is a novice and semi-pro.
Very very basic information which can easily be gleaned online within a few minutes. Still, it's all in once place right here for easy reference and is no doubt a help for the rank beginner.
I chose a fire star rating because of the clarity , detail and completeness of instruction. It is done by a group of professionals who know what they are talking about.
I haven't gotten into it very far yet but what I've seen look pretty good. It's a little outdated and low level but not too bad. Overall, it looks like a good read.
