Visual C# 2015 is Joyce Farrell's update of her earlier Visual C# editions. She writes clearly, and the material is presented in topic by topic order, so that the book could conceivably be used later as a reference, although not for advanced topics. The intended audience is a student one -- who else would pay the book's outrageous price but students compelled to buy it on the behest of their instructor?The book has NO coverage of database access. This was a show-stopper for me and will likely be so for the many others whose intended target is building database-enabled applications. So too the book's over-the-top price.In a few weeks there should be several competing Visual C# 2015 books available at 25% of the price of the Farrell book. For those who can wait, I suggest they do so, unless they have money to burn.(5 stars for clarity of writing, 1 star for value, 3 stars for coverage, given the lack of a chapter on database access; overall rating, 3 stars)
Book was in good condition despite being used. I'm not sure if a CD was originally included or not but the book is written well.
