Raising chickens is my plan to utilize by backyard in a more profitable way. This book helps me a lot in building my first coop. I used to have a ready made chicken coop made of plastic screens but it did not last long as it becomes brittle when exposed all day in direct sunlight. I will definite used one of the designs featured in this book. This book is a great help for me.

Helpful and beneficial. Knowing what to do and how to build your own chicken coop is very important for your chickens to hatch and produce fresh eggs. You can avoid a lot of common mistakes by referring to this book. Learn the things to consider before building a chicken coop such as the size, type, materials to use, the cost, and problems you can expect with raising backyard chickens. And of course, how to strategically do all these stuff so you can build a better chicken coop and maximize your resources. Truly deserves to be recommended.
Got this for my mom who suddenly got a wild hair about raising chickens. She said it had lots of good information, but it was a little hard to read on her iPad. (Though that could entirely just be a user issue lol). When I asked her to rate it, she said 4/5. Cause "It was just missing, 'something' in the writing." She's hard to please though, so just take that with a grain of salt.
After reading this book, it made me consider raising my own chickens. The are lots of benefits when we have our own chicken coop such as more nutritious and tastier eggs. Andy Jacobson did great providing all the requirements for a chicken coop. Everything that I need to know if ever I decided to build one was discussed here such as the building process, it's benefits, equipment, tools and materials, and so much more. I liked how Jacobson discussed stuff here. Its very simple so every tips, step-by-step procedures and techniques here are all easy to understand. Overall, it's a well-written step-by-step guide book to planning and building your own chicken coop. I'll give this book 5 stars.
Nice book Chicken Coops. This book teach us and gave us guidelines on how to build our own chicken coop at home. To raise the chicken properly. Not just how to raise it but it also give us an idea what the tools should we use and the equipment's, and building process. By fallow all this guidelines it easy to us build chicken coops successfully. I highly recommend this book.
Am so passionate about poultry breeding and with the intensive research that am conducting to get to the information about the Hatchery, the Coops building, the equipment needed an the diseases most likely to attack my farm. This one book has helped in the information on hoew to put up the Coops and I have got how to modify them to my needs.
My father and my father-in-law is in this business. It is a very good investment. This is a very good guide and the information are essential.
