If you like to, give blessings and toasts or just recite Irish Proverbs this is the book for you. I think they become more important and true to life when you're smashed out of your gourd on Jamison, and Guinness Stout then you become a real popular guy in the bar reciting your Irish Proverbs, and toasts for all of 10 minutes before they throw you out on the street with blunt force trauma applied to your head and neck area user beware thanking you in advance respectfully Johnny Irish
Nice book. Full of new ways to great Friends and Familyas well as to say till the next time, and so on."May a Shamrock be in front of every step you Take"(Not from book.).Raven
I bought this book thinking it was a genuine simple compendium of Irish Blessings etc. I was most disappointed to find a mish mash of unresearched, inaccurate and "stage-Irish" sayings bearing little resemblance to the rich repository of Proverbs which is contained in our Gaelic Language and books. Most unscholarly and specious.
Fantastic, what more could be said - but I DO HAVE SOME ARGUMENT WITH ONE OR TWO OR rather some of the proverbial wisdom.
Everything in this book is readily available online. A waste of money.
