I have been involved in protective services for over 20 years. I decided to brush up a little and get some new reading material. I have to say this book and A.Hunsickers other book are some of the best out their. I was impressed with the amount of great info in these books. It doesn't matter if your an experienced agent or someone interested in getting into the business these are a must add to your collection.
I perused an on-line lengthy free preview of this textbook in preparation for its purchase but found the writing to be sub-standard; misspellings, sentence fragments and nonsensical passages abound. Maybe Hunsicker is well-regarded in E/P, but he is not educated enough to write about it, which detracts from the text's overall gravitas. As for gravitas, there is little anyway, presenting fundamentals, tending away from the "art" and more toward the pure basics.
