It isn't often you find a book that has true content for the advancing horsemanship student. This book is loaded with wisdom from a man who is a master of training horses and people. The author, well-known in his own right, works with younger well-known instructors and clinicians on and off of TV, assisting them in carrying on his life's knowledge. Still very active in clinics and personal lessons, Jack Brainard is the trainer's trainer, especially in the reining arena. The book is about teaching your horse using a progression of exercises in methods that are meant to be clear and easy for the horse. I reread it periodically to pick up something I am ready for today and to remind me of those exercises that would balance my training programs. It would be terrific if had the rights to sell the book. In the meantime it is most likely available from the author's web site. Don't dismiss this one because of having to look a bit further for it.
Great straight forward book for horse trainers & owners. Easy to read, all the basics about horse training for any level, a collectors item.
This is a keeper. Focuses on control and knowabouts of where the horses feet are. Very good addition to a library of horse training knowledge. Highly recommend for those interested in pursuing serious training.
