I really like the recipes in this wonderful Greek Cookbook. I can say this because I have many Greek cookbooks. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because all the measurements are in Metrics and not in Ounces and Pounds…I have to basically convert everything.As a Greek/American myself, the recipes are superb tasting (so far) and highly inventive plus has a great and refreshing, very modern twist to the traditional Greek food and cookbooks. These recipe’s lights up my taste buds and interest my heart and make me interested in making more and more great Greek dishes from this fantastic cookbook over the ordinary Greek recipe book…Once I get to converting each of the recipe’s from European Metric into American ounces.I would say though that this is a book not to pass up...I remember the days when we did Smash Plates and it was of the highest compliment of satisfaction for the very best chef and meal or the live entertainment at all Greek Restaurant’s in the older days...Great title, a nod and pun all wrapped into one!

Food was good, fair prices. Tap water was heavy on chlorine. Bring your own bottled water or you can pay for bottled water. I suggest they buy a filter, use reverse osmosis filter or something!

i am a huge fan of Maria Elia's Modern Vegetarian- it's brilliant. this cookbook is good, and has some nice recipes but was not as relatory for my anyhow as the Modern Vegetarian.

Great book full of wonderful recipes. It got here earlier then promised and in good shape. What a way to broaden your palette
