I really like the designs in this book but I hate the fact that the patterns need to be enlarged 200%. I paid for patterns not to go to a copy shop and pay again. This is not how patterns should be printed. They should be full size.

Having made quite a few of Melly & Me's quirky animals previously, I was absolutely thrilled when my copy of "Sewn toy Tales" arrived, only a couple of weeks after ordering. Their patterns are so easy to sew, the only draw back has been having to photocopy and enlarge the patterns.

I really like the book except for having to enlarge the patterns. I thought the patterns would be regular size but they are not. You have to enlarge them alot so if you get the book be prepared to do lots of enlarging. This can be a problem if you don't have a copier. Now for some good news . The patterns are cute and the creatures are pretty easy to make once you get your patterns set up.Sincerely,Kathy Durr

This book is definitely worth having. Simple instructions, great characters to make but I had problems with the need to enlarge patterns. Officeworks accused me of breaching copyright!!!It was difficult to find a place that could enlarge 200%. If this is not a problem to you then a five star rating would be appropriate. Robyn

Buyer beware!!!! I purchased this book in kindle format. I loved the creatures in the book and purchased material to make several. Much to my dismay when I went to the link for the PDF for the patterns listed in the book I ended up on a site that does not even sell the book let alone have the PDF for the patterns available. If I could I would give this book negative stars. I did not purchase a book for its pretty pictures. It is totally useless without the PDF's. If the website changed or PDF's are no longer available that should be noted in the description of the book or the book should be withdrawn from the kindle format.

Paid $25.00 for this book to make stuffed toys, well; you have to enlarge the patterns by 200%, which I cannot do. I wish I knew this before I bought this book. (Can't return)!!! So now I have a book that is no use to me.

I couldn't wait to get this book and start projects. One thing I did NOT like, the patterns on printed on both sides of the page so you have to cut thm out of the mag, then copy one side, then cut pieces apart and enlarge them. I HATE cutting up a book!

Came sooner then I thought, and though it was a used book, it was near perfect condition. Love this book....Love to sew for the grand children and they in turn love it when their Nana makes extra special toys for them. Boys and girls alike love these, and a few of my adult friends have asked for a certain one or two. Great instructions, patterns are at the rear of book and easily printed. I copy a page, then enlarge as instructed, but you may find it useful to make "smaller" mini ones to accompany the larger ones. (i.e. mommy and me) projects. Enjoy
