Very nice book - great color photos of a variety of buttons. Great for comparing your buttons and finding prices. Well worth the price.
While I'm sure this is a helpful book for the serious and advanced collector, it isn't for the beginner, which I am. I didn't see anything in it's description that would have let me know that, so I wasted my money. I am not a collector and never will be; I'm just a beginner button sorter, breaking up big collections and selling individual buttons, pairs or sets.
This is a pretty picture book. I doubt that I will ever see any of these buttons in my travels. The book has only the most rare buttons pictured. Not for the new collector or good for evaluating button finds that would probably not be at thrift stores, flea markets or grandma's button box.
This book has a great mix of attainable buttons! Also some that are ART and I think she just put them in for fun. I love how she put the approximate values on the same page as the buttons. I'm going to buy Volume 1 as well.
Bought this to help in selling a large button collection and it's going to be a great help. Good Color pictures and great descriptions.
