Soap making is a new found hobby. I enrolled myself to a short course last month to know the basics on soap making but this book has a lot of variety to the soaps that I want to produce someday. It can be a good source of income and with this book, I am sure it can be a great help. Imagine you have 365 kinds of soap. A variety to choose from. I am so excited to try making each soap. I highly recommend this book to those who are fond of making soap as their hobby and business entrepreneur.
This is a very useful book that should be in the library of any potential soap maker. It is one of the earlier books written for this hobby/small business, but the information is still timely. All in all iu is very straight-forward and clear instructions for making lye soaps with a variety of fats and oils. definitely makes the whole process seem less intimidating.
I never entertained the idea of making my own soap. Why bother? Until now, I just realized that I have no knowledge as to what chemicals are mixed in those commercial soaps I buy. This book just confirms that we really have to take care of our environment. Creating your own soap is doing the environment a favor. Of course these home-made soaps make perfect gifts for any occasion.
From the time I saw this simple soap making guide to homemade soaps I have had the pleasure of indulging in it has been a hobby that I aspired to take up one day. For anyone thinking about making your own soaps, read this book first. The wit and simplicity used by the author gave me confidence that I can enhance my family's health by making my own soaps; that it's not as daunting and overwhelming as I had previously thought. Highly Recommended!
I like the thought that it is homemade and these book are so simple and easy to follow...I can choose what type of ingredients to be used based on the type of homemade soap that I want to make. And, guess what I start collecting raw materials now for that homemade soap that I'm interested to make.
Good book. Great Book. Lots of valuable information for a new do it yourselfer. I love to learn new things and this is something that I really want to learn more about. I want to stop using chemicals and getting more into natural ingredients.
I must admit This book opened a new possibility for me to explore into the world of soap making. Very interesting book with detailed explanation of different kind of soap and fragrances you need to use. After having read this book I feel a bit more comfortable with soap making and find that the added recipes give me future ideas so that part is a definite plus. I would recommend this book to anybody looking for a great guide to help them begin their soap making journey.
