An otherwise great little book (anything by Ken Druse is worth reading) is made frustrating by the lack of an index. Very frustrating in fact--although there is a general table of contents in the front, you can't look up anything specific or even be sure it is covered. Too bad!
Purchase used but arrived in like new condition. I am a novice gardener and really enjoy Ken Druse books. My landscape looks great and my plant are thriving. This is a small book that you can fit in your purse and carry to the nursery. Worth every cent!
The book is smaller than Natural Shade Gardening, and more of a reference guide than coffee-table inspiration book. The pictures are still excellent and the information about each plant is detailed.
A short compilation of photos and descriptions from Druse's "The Natural Shade Garden." The latter is a five star + book. This is a good book to take to the garden center when you shop.
Not so good. Just a list of plants for the shade. Expected more about shade gardening. Also, a very small book in size.
