Incredible amount of well researched information. One of the best garden books on the unattainable, hard to understand, shady places. I live in the woods. This book gives me hope for beauty amongst the Trees.
After 10 years of shade gardening and lots of reading on the subject, I thought that any additions to my little shade gardening library would be redundant. After borrowing this book from the public library, though, I wanted my own copy. Useful to gardeners who've been around and invaluable to new gardeners, The Shady Garden offers lots of succinct and practical advice, excellent photos, illustrated plans for many different situations, and helpful lists. Very good value. No buyer's remorse here!
