This is quite a strange book. It is supposed to be a baby keepsake book but it really is a compilation of nature photography of baby animals. The parts decidated to your baby seem forced, out of place, and an afterthought. Then towards the end of the book, there is one page devoted to Jessica Alba. Yes, the actress. I don't have any opnions about her but why would I want an entire page in my baby book devoted to Jessica Alba with a complete bio, her views, and a picture of her right in the center of the page?!?! I was so turned off I didn't read the entire thing. Maybe she's the designer of this book, which would be interesting because then it is really a tribute to animals, quotes she likes, and a tribute to herself. Not your baby. Who ever put this book toghether definitely has no idea what it is like to have a child for the first time and the urge parents have to preserve and memorialize the precious first 12 months of baby's life. If Jessica Alba was the one who put it together, I find it rather puzzling because she has children.Usually when anyone thinks about a baby keepsake book, one would envision that it is baby centric--focused on your baby. You should be able to completely personalize it fill it with pictures of your baby as she grows throughout her first year. This book is front to back filled with stunning National Geographic photography, which is nice in itself but your baby's details that you add will really get lost. On some pages the size, color of the photography and page layout can really compete and clash with the baby details you add. The pages that have space for you to add your own photos do not have slits or tabs to hold the photos. You would have to tape them or glue them on. The pages have a glossy sheen like photo or a heavy magazine paper.
