I bought this book at a reduced price from a book store. My absolute favorite recipe in this book is the one for apple pancakes. While there is some food history listed here, the standout for this book is the step-by-step instructions with photographs. This cookbook can be enjoyed by everyone from the novice to the professional.
What a great collection of old world favorites.My husband is of German descent and my background is Polish so we both can return to our Mama's kitchens and share some of the favorites with our children and grandchildren.Looking forward to a warm kitchen and overseated table.
Full of receips that remind me of dishes made when growing up in our ethic neighborhood. Great photos that describe the dishes befor you make them.
I have a Russian family member, so I am interested in their traditional cuisine. The best thing about this book is the color presentation picture for each dish. Love it!
