Although this was not a bad booklet, I cannot recommend readers to spend more than $3 for it.The book doesn't even start to discuss pigeon racing until the 71% mark. The next 4 or 5 pages does have two or three good points, but it is very general even at that.I didn't mind so much spending some $3.46 for 19 pages. I was disappointed that so little of the 19 pages was devoted to the sport of racing pigeons.If the author can go into greater detail on racing, and include some discussions with other racers, plus include several photographs of races and racing homer owners, this could become a terrific, useful, handbook.Until then, though, I do not recommend buying The Ultimate Guide to Racing Pigeons.
This is an excellent book on racing pigeons. It tells you why these birds are chosen to be raced and how their make-up and instincts make them the perfect candidate to race. It also gives great advice on how to go about raising and training your own racing pigeons.
