Lots of great information on these terrific birds. I got my C.A.G. (age 8) from his second owner (he spent 4 years in each of his first homes) and this book had lots of helpful information on the Greys.
This book is really informative especially if you are going to breed your African Grey. I found it very useful in what they could eat and couldn't eat and what kind of wood that could be used for perches.

We just purchased a baby african grey and this book has all the essentials in it to help us make sure that we raise him right. Very detailed.
While this book gives you the basics it is just that basic. A grey in my opinion, is not a breed for first timers. You can go online and find out much more information. Talk to vets,breed sanctuaries,and beeders. Go to bird shows and talk and read. I did a lot of research even though I have had prior experience with large birds before. My advice is to skip this book and do lots of research. There are better books out there
Well wrote book on african grey care. I do wish it went more into feeding the adult birds or touched on pellet diet vs seed though.
This is a good overall book for the care of these birds. Nothing to advanced, but a good amount of general information.
