I expected more from a book of this price and notoriety. It's heavy on jargon, and I've found better explanations in other more streamlined materials directed at the home-gardener. Some helpful information, but overall I'm disappointed. I recommend obtaining from a local library before you purchase.
Wow! This book has it all. Lots of descriptions, processes, how-to's, and diagrams. Having this book in hardcover is awesome because it lends itself well to taking out into the orchard.I'm glad I bought this book. Very informative. I am jazzed now to get out there and start doing some grafting!
Learned more in one to two hours reading than I have learned viewing isolated post and articles for the last two years.
I use the information as it pertains to grafting Japanese Maple trees, even though it has nothing specifically about maple grafting, but it is very through and informative. This is a good book for someone who wants to learn and perfect the finer points of grafting anything from fruit trees and pines to maples like me. A good book.
This book is OK, but is greatly overrated. It's not particularly well-written, nor are the images very clear or good, but it's got a lot of information, and you'll learn from it.But, there are better books out there.
The 'bible' of grafting techniques. An excellent description of the ways to join plants together, with plenty of drawings.
So much to learn about this process. I had no idea grafting took so many forms.
